Aug 10 - More Than This

Ok, so I dont really have an exciting update. Today was quite cold and I had a two classes today, so I walked to campus twice and when I came home at 5 this evening I could see my breath. At the grocery store tonight the checkout girl mentioned that it was snowing in some areas. WOW! How crazy is that? It's July!

I did learn a new trick today thanks to someone else's blog I read. I can now direct you to links where you can see the videos I have taken. I dont want to overwhelm you now, so I will just put one up when I dont really have anything exciting to talk about (which will start happening as my deadlines start approaching).

I did get to make some calls last night. Talked to Mommy and Papa. Left a message for Jennifer. Left a message for Megan. Talked to Julie at the office and got the current scoop. Those were just the numbers I had memorized, so I'm sorry you didn't get a call, but it's due to the fact that I didnt have my address book on me at the time. Besides, some of you have my number and haven't called! And even worse - you haven't written! WHAT THE HECK? (ahem, H! and LcKA!)

Oh well... we're all busy. And with that, I show you a tidbit of the first cricket game organized in the hallway on my floor. I am not in it because I had not been taught how yet but you can refer back to the story below where I mention the fact that when they did let me play I kept getting out because they hadn't explained the rules to me. But it's ok. A week later 6 boys and I played outside in the back garden and I won the second of the two games. hehehe!

Let me know if this works: Cricket Apparently it's only good for 7 days and a max of 25 downloads or something.

Hola, Katma!! It's Ashprs. I've been hanging out with Mom here in Nassau, Bahamas for the past several days (we're headed home Friday). But I'm currently at our hotel's cyber cafe, and in between doing e-mails I've been reading all of your "Land of Oz" blogs...love the cricket video! I love and miss you, doll...hoping to give you a call in the next week or so.....Be good!

Heya K8y-poo. It is going to take me a bit to read all this but I'm going to try to watch the cricket video at work tomorrow (yay Hallmark). The seasons are weird, I know, and so is watching the water spiral down the drain the opposite direction. But, best of all, you've got the Southern Cross. Isn't it great? It is my clearest memory from New Zealand when I was a little girl. So wish I was there.

When we got to Marlo, way far out from the city lights, we all looked up at the sky with awe at the millions of stars. And although someone did not confirm it for me, I believe I found the Southern Cross. We all talked about the stars that we are used to not being around (Big Dipper and Orion's Belt, etc). It was just beautiful out.

I love Orion. Chances are, if you think you found Southern Cross (even without help), you probably did. You just can't miss it. This what you are seeing:

So nostalgic. Still working on the Altoids, by the way! I've found two tins in stores, but they seem to be scarce at the moment. Sucks.

I will check out the link to see what I need to watch for - if I didnt already see it. Anyhow, I finally found a box to put the jaffas in. I picked up the customs form after my class on Friday. I will take it in on Tuesday (I think I can remember) to try to get it sent off to you. No worries on the altoids - just whenever. ;-)

I have found the Altoids at Osco. If I am somewhat recoverd from the sedative tomorrow (calling in at work) I will take them to the post office. Anything else I can send you?

Poor baby. Boooo on sedative (but it's good too...it's just those after-effects!). Well, anthing else you can send??? Ummm... Gummy bears or worms if you happen to come across some, but dont go out of your way to find them. Otherwise, nope!! It's all good. YAY. Thanks! I got your customs form filled out and I am already going to be running late today, so it looks like I'll take them in tomorrow to the post.
