July 26 - Video Killed the Radio Star

I started off my day of classes with Media Project Development at 11am. It’s a one hour lecture; today’s was on getting a job in the Media industry sponsored by the career services office and two media professionals. It was a pretty good lecture. I signed up for the tutorial space I wanted – Wednesdays at 10am.

I met Premi, a housemate, for lunch on campus and then headed back to the house to kill time ‘til the next class. At 3 pm I headed to Research of Media Audiences. I am glad I left about 30 minutes early since I could not find the lecture hall. I knew I had seen signs for it before, but couldn’t find it. I walked down to the IPO to check the map and figured out where I had gone wrong. To kill more time, I ran to the bakery to grab a chocolate something and ran into a friend from orientation. We talked until time for class. This lecture is 2 hours, but we were only there about an hour ½ or so. I signed up for my 1st-3rd choice tutorials and have not yet heard which I will be getting. We are supposed to be emailed with the results.

The rest of the evening was pretty quiet. House people hung out and had dinner and I’m learning to make Indian food. Yum.
